Why Oakwood?
At Oakwood, we’re proud to be recognised for our physiotherapy & pain treatment in Bingham, offering specialist care supported by advanced therapies such as EMTT, Shockwave, MBST and REMS bone density scanning.
Our Approach
Firstly, we listen; secondly, we assess what’s driving your symptoms; then we build a simple plan blending rehab, education and, when indicated, advanced therapies. As a result, we treat the root cause—not just symptoms—so you leave with practical steps for sustainable results.
REMS Bone Health Scans
REMS (Radiofrequency Echographic Multi-Spectrometry) offers a safe, ultrasound-based alternative to DEXA bone density scans. Moreover, it’s quick, comfortable, and highly precise, detecting early signs of osteoporosis so that you can act before problems develop.

IAN ANDREWS
Senior Physio and Founder of Oakwood Physiotherapy & Wellness Centre
Ian Andrews — Chartered Physiotherapist in Bingham
I’m a chartered physiotherapist with a background in elite sport. I set up Oakwood Physiotherapy in Bingham, Nottinghamshire to offer personalised, high-level care for everyone — from everyday patients to world-class athletes.
What I Specialise In
In particular, I specialise in physiotherapy & osteoporosis treatment, sports injuries & performance rehab, and many problems improve within one or two sessions when managed correctly. For example, I have a particular interest in neck and spinal injuries.
How I Work
Moreover, I work closely with leading specialists and use advanced treatments, with fast access to top consultants and imaging when it’s needed — so you get clear answers and a focused plan, quickly.
Elite Sport Background
Before physiotherapy, I played professional football for Leicester City, Glasgow Celtic, Southampton and Bournemouth. Since qualifying, I’ve worked with Leicester City’s Academy, Team GB, the England football team and the England rugby squad.
Access & Parking
Getting Here
We’re based in Bingham town centre, just a short walk from Bingham train station and close to Trent Barton bus routes from Nottingham and nearby villages. In short, we’re easy to reach whether you travel by car, rail, or bus.
Parking & Public Transport
Station Street offers limited on-street spaces, although these aren’t always guaranteed.
Alternatively, you can use the town-centre car parks, which are free for up to two hours — just check local signs. However, for longer stays, the Health Centre car park is available, with payment details at the pay-station.
In addition, we have two driveway spaces for patients with reduced mobility. Please contact us in advance to reserve one. Bingham station is only a few minutes’ walk, and Trent Barton bus services from Nottingham and nearby areas stop close by, making public transport a convenient choice.
Accessibility & Local Amenities
If you have specific access needs, let us know before your physiotherapy appointment so we can reserve a driveway space and assist on arrival. Often, just a few minutes’ notice ensures everything runs smoothly.
Finally, while you’re here, take the opportunity to enjoy Bingham’s independent cafés, delis, gastro pubs and wine bars — all just a short stroll from the clinic.
