MCSP, Chartered Physiotherapist, HCPC
I am a Chartered Physiotherapist at Oakwood Physiotherapy & Wellness Centre. I have been working at Oakwood for a number of years, gaining a vast variety of skills to treat all musculoskeletal complaints.
Previously I have played as a professional footballer for Notts County Football Club, often receiving plenty of treatment! Following football, I transitioned to the physiotherapy profession via York St John University with the help of the PFA.
The physiotherapy profession is my passion, with each and every day providing new and exciting challenges to solve. I have developed a wide client base across the board, treating all age ranges and musculoskeletal issues. I aim to sieve through each problem incrementally in order to establish the root cause.
My special interest is the treatment & management of all sporting injuries. I aim to provide a seamless transition between the treatment table and normal daily functioning, helping my patients achieve individual aims & goals, leading to a results driven treatment.
I also have experience and interests in the treatment, management & rehabilitation of neurological pathologies including Parkinson’s, Stroke & Spinal Cord Injuries.
Having worked with Ian Andrews for many years, I have obtained a wealth of knowledge, skills & transferable techniques. I am of the belief that Physiotherapy requires intricate, hands-on assessment and treatments and maintain Oakwood’s modern approach to treating a variety of conditions with an array of cutting-edge ultra-sound scanning assessments, electrotherapy treatments, acupuncture and rehabilitation.
At Oakwood Physiotherapy, our goal is to help you be pain free as soon as possible, to enable an easy, pain-free return to normal daily activities. To do this, I aim to strip each component of pathology down and rebuild more effective, sustainable lifestyle & health choices to prevent recurrence.
