I was born in Kenya and lived in Canada for 16 years, before moving to Scotland to pursue my MSc in Physiotherapy. After graduating, I worked at Ayr United Football Academy as the Head of Sports Science and Medicine and at NHS Ayrshire and Arran.
In addition to my physiotherapy degree, I also hold a degree in Biology and Psychology.
Since a teenager, I have been heavily involved in sports and helped athletes develop their skillset in hockey, basketball and football. Consequently my passion strongly lies in sports physiotherapy. I also have a keen interest in Neurorehabilitation. Having worked with patients following a stroke and brain injury, I understand the challenges in completing everyday tasks and I focus on improving quality of life. Moreover, I enjoy working with post surgical rehab patients because it is very rewarding.
As a result I have a unique skill-set that allows me to accurately diagnose a patient with an injury and rehabilitate them back to high performance. I utilise latest evidence based research to guide my treatment and rehab strategies, with the aim to bring you out of pain, discomfort and back to full fitness.
Overall I deliver safe, effective, patient centred care. My unique personal attributes coupled with a high level of motivation and enthusiasm make me a well rounded (and highly desired) physiotherapist.
